HELLO OPERATOR
Hello Operator is a dialog with the operator of a x-ray scanner. As Artificial Intelligence is becoming more sophisticated the human operators will become obsolete. Hello Operator, consist of a suitcase with 3d printed models of forbidden items that look like nothing special from above. But from the side the illegality is clearly visible, but as most x-ray scanners only make scans from above the AI shouldn’t be able to detect an abnormality. The items in the suitcase are arranged to spell out a message only detectable by a human operator as the AI is not trained to detect language. This work empathises the quality of humans and the current shortcomings of AI.
