CRISISSOLUTIONS INC.

Crisissolutions Inc. is a spatial experience/installation with the aim of provoking social dreaming and action-taking, a personal and collective transformation in a context of green energy transition. A room in which the participant would become a character in a collective storyline of the energy crisis. “We all seem to be stuck in a waiting room. In this waiting room we hope someone will come in and present us with a solution that will solve our energy crisis.”

The installation is a 12m2 large structure consisting of two rooms - the waiting room and a tunnel with a screen that calculates the number of minutes the participant has waited but in the end always displays - You Waited Too Long. The double-sided mirror allows the participant to monitor the behaviour of the next attendant in the waiting room.

“We all seem to be stuck in a waiting room. In this waiting room we hope someone will come in and present us with a solution that will solve our crisis and bring peace to the world. Hydrogen could be the solution to our energy needs, that will solve the crisis of runaway greenhouse gasses created by our petro addiction. But once petroleum was the solution to a previous crisis. At some point any solution seems to become the villain it once tried to defeat. We are stuck in a crisis-solution loop. Could hydrogen be the ultimate solution that breaks this loop once and for all. It promises green energy abundance by only having to put solar panels on 10 percent of the Sahara... Our savior is near what we are waiting for?”
